Bovine Mastitis Control Strategies with Emphasis on Developing Countries

Mastitis is a major problem that reduces milk production and quality in the whole world. Because mastitis an endemic disease, farmers most countries have control programs to keep prevalence at low level of less than 5%. However; program cannot be implemented unless risk factors are known. Therefore; systematic review was conducted provide broad information on associated propose appropriate strategies with emphasis developing countries. This book chapter recommends dairy monitor milking cow’s udder health, improve hygiene, regular use teat dips, practice dry cow therapy, effective treatment affected animals.
